I began kickboxing at the age of 21 after having my son. Martial arts had always interested me and in order to shed some extra pounds, I heard that kickboxing would be a good cardio workout and stress reliever. I tried a class at Peterec's Karate/Kickboxing center in Victoria B.C. and automatically signed up for a full year membership. I started taking two classes per week when I had babysitters. Those nights became my special nights out as I was a stay at home mom. After going through belt tests and doing well at tournaments, I got the competitive edge and wanted to try my luck in the ring. I have realized that my true love for the sport is my passion to compete at the highest level possible. I will do my very best to continue this journey to be a great and well rounded martial artist..

Lindsay Goulet

Lindsay Goulet I have been a certified Group Fitness Instructor since 1998 and am also certified for pre/post-natal fitness. My love of fitness came at the age of 15 and I have been involved in the fitness industry in one way or another since (that's a lot of years!). Following this love of fitness I studied at the University of Alberta and received my Bachelor of Physical Education. I then carried on to complete my Master's and PhD in Exercise/Occupational Physiology from UVic. For the past 11 years I have worked with the Canadian Forces in various positions but most recently as a Research Manager for their Human Performance division. I have decided to go out on my own and run my own fitness consulting business, Compass Fitness Consulting, in which I offer a number of services. www.compassfitness.ca

I am a firm believer that both education and experience are required to be an effective trainer and motivator. I will not only provide you with a killer workout, but also with some background information on why I do what I do, what the benefits of the workouts are and the correct way to exercise. I have trained military members, police officers, divers, mommies and weekend warriors. I can train you. So, come out...be the Hot Mama you know you are!
